Can I Laugh On Your Shoulder?

Nov 1, 2023

I am beyond excited to announce that after 7+ years in the making, my book, If I Don't Laugh, I'll Cry: How Death, Debt, and Comedy Led to a Life of Faith, Farming, and Forgetting What I Came in This Room For, is now available for pre-order. It feels so surreal that this day is here.

Today I’m going to give you a glimpse into this journey and share the inspiration behind writing this book. This memoir is the story of my testimony. It’s a story of brokenness, shame, and regret, but most importantly, it’s a story of restoration, redemption, and healing. This project has been an absolute labor of love that I cannot wait to share with you!

Whether this is your first time listening, you’ve been here since day one, or something in between, I'm grateful for each one of you who has been a part of this incredible journey so far. I pray that this book makes you laugh, cry, and realize that even the messiest, muddiest, most broken parts of your story can be redeemed.

“I am still trying to wrap my head around the fact that in less than five months, you are going to hold in your hands a copy of my book… of some of the most honest and vulnerable words I have ever written and shared.”

“My prayer is that as you read this book, that you can see that even the messy, muddy, broken parts of your story can be redeemed- that there is no one that is too far gone to be redeemed and to be forgiven. That we all make mistakes.”

“Life is the both and; it is about living in the tension of the grief, and the joy and the beauty and the brokenness.”
